Recent Council activities:
January 8, 2004
STREMAC: Approved ALS renewal application for Rural/Metro Southern Tier; Approved nomination of Dr. Wayne Shariff to STREMAC.
Training committee: Pediatric update PowerPoint program was approved and distributed.
Community marketplace Public Relations: Gold Stars of Life, new names added: Todd Taggert, Sean Connelly, Jordan Roth, David Ripley, Michael Rima, Dave Forester, Ed and Donna Tuite, David and Mickey McCormick
Systems Committee: MCI trailers - refurbishing complete.
Ambulance "town meetings" scheduled for: Hornell, Bath and Big Flats areas.
Preliminary test of STAR program was conducted successfully.
Recognition of members: Wendy Shutter and Mark Cowan.
Approved renewal of membership: Paul Card, Patti Gres-sel, Dr. William Huffner, Bob Rajsky, Teri Symonds and Mike Sprague.

STREMAC: Approved nomination of Dr. Gary Enders to the STREMAC.
Pediatric Assessment training program is now available on the website.
Public Relations: Annual conference this year will be October 16, at Corning Community College. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Christopher Lentz from Strong Memorial Hospital burn unit.
Systems committee: MCI trailers have been redistributed Steuben, Chemung and Schuyler County each now have MCI trailers available. PAD application was accepted from the YWCA in Elmira.
There are currently three vacancies on Council, one from Schuyler County and two from Steuben. Application packets are available.

Council meetings are held at 7PM on the second Thursday of January, February, March, May, June, September, October, and November. The May, June, September and October meetings are held at the Lodge on the Green in Painted Post; the November, January, February and March meetings are at the Hilton Garden Inn in Big Flats. Meetings are open to the public; visitors are welcome.
